Community
We view community involvement, employee volunteerism and philanthropy as key business strategies. In 2008, LANE PR implemented a formal nonprofit and volunteer program. The goal is to donate company resources and up to 30 hours per month of employee time to nonprofits each year.
Our outreach efforts are often a reflection of the passions and interests of our staff, and many LANE PR employees dedicate countless hours a month to their own causes.
- Amy Paterson, a mother and breast cancer survivor, is the creator of a start-up: “My Little Waiting Room,” which seeks to provide drop-in childcare at hospitals, so parents can heal without worrying about finding a babysitter.
- Kristen Siefkin, gives her time (and impeccable fashion sense) to Dress for Success, a nonprofit that provides low-income women with professional clothes to help further their careers.
- Jessica Wallenfels volunteers for local schools and nonprofits by teaching theater and dance.
- A long-time volunteer, Shannon Riggs has spent the last 12 years working with youth-activism and health organizations such as the American Lung Association of Oregon.
